    WHAT WE DID THIS LESSON:
    - Introduced first few parts of the guitar
    - Learned the names of the strings
    - Looked at a chord diagram
    - Worked on a strum pattern
    - Began playing your first chord

    THIS WEEK:
    1) Memorize the parts of the guitar that we discussed
    - body, neck, head, tuners/machine heads, fingerboard/fretboard, fret, fret wires

    2) Memorize the names of the strings

    E-lvis
    A-te
    D-inner
    G-ood
    B-oy
    E-lvis

    3) Play your G major

    - Strum pattern: down/down-up

    - Reviewed material from previous lesson
    - Introduced C major and D major
    - Learned to use the electronic tuner
    - Began changing between chords

    THIS WEEK:
    1) Practice playing D, C and G
    - Use the down/down-up strum pattern
    - Play the pattern four times on each chord

    2) Tune your guitar several times this week
    - Check the video at the top of the page to remind you how to do it.

  4. Missed April 2nd lesson (probably because of inclement weather) without notice.
